U.A.E. Derby (UAE-G2) winner and Kentucky Derby (G1) candidate Mubtaahij (Dubawi), along with stablemate Umgiyo (Danehill Dancer) breezed Tuesday morning at Arlington over the Polytrack surface.

The pair cantered one lap and then broke off at the half-mile pole with Mubtaahij given a time of :36 1/5 for the final three-eighths. Regular morning partner Lisa Moncrieff was aboard Mubtaahij.

"Everything went exactly as planned," said Trevor Brown, assistant to trainer Mike de Kock.

Two Kentucky Derby hopefuls, War Story (War Front) and Mr. Z (Malibu Moon), are scheduled to work Wednesday morning at Churchill Downs.

War Story is scheduled to work five furlongs at 5:45 a.m. (EDT) with Dylan Davis aboard, according to trainer Tom Amoss. Mr. Z is scheduled to work at 8:30 a.m. during the training period reserved for Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks (G1) contenders. Trainer D. Wayne Lukas said that exercise rider Edvin Vargas would handle the work.

Possible Derby favorite American Pharoah (Pioneerof the Nile) galloped 1 1/2 miles after Churchill's morning renovation break with exercise rider Jorge Alvarez up. He is scheduled to work on Sunday.

Laura Moquett, wife of trainer Ron Moquett and exercise rider for Far Right (Notional), confirmed that Mike Smith would have the mount on the Arkansas Derby (G1) runner-up in the Kentucky Derby. Smith has been aboard the colt in his past three starts.

Madefromlucky (Lookin at Lucky), fourth in the Arkansas Derby in his most recent start, arrived at Churchill Downs at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday after a short van ride from Keeneland. Trainer Todd Pletcher was expecting three other Derby hopefuls to arrive at Churchill Downs Barn 40 around 3 p.m. following a flight from South Florida.

The Florida trio that had been at Palm Beach Downs is Florida Derby (G1) winner Materiality (Afleet Alex); Fountain of Youth (G2) winner and Florida Derby fourth Itsaknockout (Lemon Drop Kid); and Stanford (Malibu Moon), the Louisiana Derby (G2) runner-up.

Remaining at Keeneland for Pletcher is Blue Grass (G1) winner Carpe Diem (Giant's Causeway). He'll work Saturday or Sunday at Keeneland.

"That's what we're leaning towards," Pletcher said. "He seems to be doing really well here. The track is great, seems to handle the rain really well. If we get a little weather, it won't bother us. Right now, we'll probably breeze him on the weekend, Saturday or Sunday, and ship over there (to Churchill Downs) Monday or Tuesday."
