Gun Runner defeats elders to earn first Grade 1 win in

Gun Runner seized the lead at the start and led wire to wire in Friday's Clark
H. (G1) at Churchill Downs, notching his first Grade 1 tally with a 2
3/4-length triumph. Runner-up in the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1), the Steve
Asmussen-trained sophomore colt was ridden by Florent Geroux.
Linda established herself as a turf filly to watch in the Mrs. Revere (G2) at
Churchill Downs, turning back the rally of Harmonize in convincing fashion
to register her first stakes victory.
Texas Ryano easily proved best in Friday's Hollywood Turf Cup (G2) at Del Mar,
overhauling favored rival Ashleysluvssguar in upper stretch and drawing off to a
3 1/4-length decision.
