Penn Derby upgraded to Grade 1 for 2017 The American Graded Stakes Committee released its listing of U.S. Graded and Listed races for 2017 on Friday, with the biggest changes showing the Pennsylvania Derby upgraded to Grade 1 while the Wood Memorial and Blue Grass were both downgraded to Grade 2s.
