Moonlight Sky led the way on Sunday at Keeneland November

Hip No. 1751, MOONLIGHT SKY, brought $240,000 as a racing or broodmare
prospect to lead Sunday's sixth session of Keeneland's November Breeding
Stock Sale.
Kern Lillingston Associates, agent for Triton Stables,
purchased the three-year-old daughter of Sky Mesa from the Denali Stud consignment.
Moonlight Sky is a full sister to Dogwood (G3) winner Sky Girl and from the
family of Grade 1 winner Bevo and Grade 2 winners Wilburn and Beethoven.
Cumulatively through six days of the 13-day sale, Keeneland
has sold 1,154 horses for $179,956,200, down 5.55 percent versus 2015 when 1,206
horses brought $190,528,000. Average price of $155,941 dipped just below last
year's $157,983, while the median of $75,000 is 6.25 percent below the $80,000
recorded in 2015.
On Sunday, the second of two sessions in Book 3, 233 horses
brought $10,147,000, a decrease of 13.64 percent from last year's corresponding
session when 238 horses grossed $11,750,000. The average of $43,549 was down
11.79 percent from $49,370 in 2015. The median of $35,000 was down 12.50 percent
compared to $40,000 last year.
Northface Bloodstock acquired the day's highest-priced
weanling, paying $180,000 for Hip 1838, a daughter of Uncle Mo. Consigned by James B.
Keogh (Grovendale), agent, the filly is out of the El Corredor mare Savviest and
from the family of Grade 1 winner Tactical Cat.
