Churchill Downs, TwinSpires.com raise guaranteed Pick 6
pools on Oak, Derby Days
Churchill Downs and TwinSpires.com have partnered for the second straight
year to guarantee the Pick 6 pools on Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby days. The
Kentucky Oaks Day Pick 6 will carry a $250,000 guaranteed pool (up from $200,000
in 2012) and the Kentucky Derby Day Pick 6 will feature a $1 million guarantee
(up from $500,000).
The wagers have been officially renamed to be the “TwinSpires.com $250,000
Guaranteed Oaks Day Pick 6” and “TwinSpires.com $1,000,000 Guaranteed Derby Day
Pick 6.”
“The Pick 6 sequences on Oaks and Derby Days are shaping up to offer
tremendous wagering opportunities,” Churchill Downs Racetrack President Kevin

The Pick 6, which is a $2 minimum wager, will cover Races 6-11 on both days.
Race 6 on Oaks Day is scheduled for 1:26 p.m. (EDT), while the sixth on Derby
Day is 1:19 p.m. EDT.
