Moneighs available on eBay ReRun Inc., the nonprofit Thoroughbred adoption group, has put up 30 Moneigh paintings for its annual holiday auction on eBay. Bidding on the original artworks by famous racehorses continues until December 10. Notable horses with Moneighs on offer include John Henry, Horse of the Year in 1981 and 1984, whose painting is signed by Chris McCarron; 1994 Horse of the Year Holy Bull; Cigar, Horse of the Year in 1995 and 1996; Da Hoss, two-time winner of the Breeders' Cup Mile (G1) in 1996 and 1998; 1982 Kentucky Derby (G1) victor Gato del Sol; 1984 Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) winner and noted sire Wild Again; Grade 1 winner and influential stallion Quiet American; 1994 Breeders' Cup Classic victor Concern, whose painting is signed by Jerry Bailey; and current Grade 1 hero Lava Man (Slew City Slew). Each Moneigh includes a hoofprint, lock of mane and brass name plate. Proceeds from the auction will support ReRun's adoption program for retired racehorses in need of good homes.
