Do I need a certain kind of Printer to print with PP Generator? Document Number: 10043 We are not aware of specific, current printers that do not work with PP Generator. However, we know that the current Version may not print to some types of printers connected via a USB cable instead of a standard, parallel printer cable. Many newer printers have both a USB and a Standard parallel port. You can tell if your printer cable is USB by its diameter and the size of the connectors. USB cables are about as thick as a standard mouse cable (in fact some mice are USB mice), and the connectors are about a half an inch wide. The standard parallel cable is usually much thicker, a little thicker than a standard computer's power cable, and the connectors are about as wide as a Matchbox. If your printer came with a USB cable but it has a parallel port on the back as well, you can probably print from PP Generator if you get a parrallel cable.
