Why can't I run the 2001 edition of the APR CD-ROM in DOS?

Document Number: 10169

If you are having problems accessing the DOS version of the American Produce Records program, you will need to download a revised version of GO.BAT . To download this new GO.BAT, right click on the link below and choose 'Save Target As' from the list that will show. Once you choose 'Save Target As' you will get a box that asks where you want to the put the file. Near the top it says 'Save In', click the down arrow at the end of box, this will let you choose your 'C' drive. Once you select drive 'C', in the middle area choose the directory called Windows (double click on this). Then the 'Save in' box should read "Windows", click the Save button. After this has been saved you can go into DOS mode, and change to your CD ROM prompt, as normal. (such as d: ) Then type 'c:\windows\go.bat' This will run the updated version and will let you use the APR program in DOS MODE.

Note: It is recommended that you print these instructions for reference.
