Post time for the $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) on November 4 at Del Mar will be 5:35 p.m. (all times Pacific), it was announced Wednesday.
The Breeders’ Cup released post times for all 13 races making up the 34th running of the two-day Breeders’ Cup World Championships. The Grade 1 contests will be held November 3-4 for the first time at Del Mar.
The 2017 Breeders’ Cup will kick off on Friday, November 3, in the 6TH Race with a post time of 2:25 p.m. The day’s highlight, the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1), is scheduled as the 9TH Race with a 4:35 p.m. post time.
First post for Breeders’ Cup Friday is 11:25 a.m., and all of the day’s Breeders’ Cup races will be televised live on NBCSN.
Breeders’ Cup Saturday is scheduled to begin even earlier, with a first post of 10:10 a.m. The first Breeders’ Cup race on Saturday is scheduled as the 4TH Race, with a post time of noon. The first eight of the Breeders’ Cup Saturday events will be televised live on NBCSN.
The 2017 Breeders’ Cup will conclude in the Classic, which is set as the 12TH Race on Saturday, November 4, and will be televised live on NBC.
The official race order and wagering menu for both days of the Championships will be announced on Wednesday, October 25.
