JUSTICE FOR AUSTON, well placed three wide from the beginning while tracking the dueling leaders, reached the front a sixteenth out, then couldn't contain the winner's surge in a game try. ATTICUS KRISTY, within striking distance always, raced three or four wide while between foes, loomed a solid threat for the final furlong and was gaining late. MIGHTY BEAU edged in early to follow the leaders five or six wide, was within easy striking distance leaving the furlong grounds but could manage only a slight gain. WESTERN KIND gained a slight edge early while dueling outside of LION ANDTHE LAMB, showed the way into the final furlong and couldn't sustain the needed momentum. GERONIMO (CHI), outrun near the inside to the stretch, eased out three or four wide for the drive and improved position. THE NTH DEGREE, bumped lightly at the start by LION ANDTHELAMB, raced forwardly inside to the stretch and couldn't keep pace. ROCKHURST stumbled at the break, leaned in bumping with PARKER RUN soon after, raced six wide on the backstretch, was carried out midway on the turn by SGT. BERT and continued wide. SGT. BERT, between foes four wide early, bore out midway on the turn, bumped ROCKHURST and forced that one out, then tired. PARKER RUN, bumped at the start, was outrun, raced outside, was steadied again on the turn behind SGT. BERT when that one bore out and never menaced.
