Race Summary |
---|
SPUN SUGAR controlled the early pace, was allowed to lose the advantage
backstretch, dueled through the second turn closest to the inside, took back
over, headed by the runner up when straightened for home, battled back, slight
drift out, game effort. HAPPY TICKET broke on top, allowed the pace to go in the
first turn, moved out and stalked, advanced to the fore under confident handling
three wide late in the second turn, lost some ground to the winner into the
stretch, put a head in front outside the furlong grounds, drifted out a bit,
lost the advantage and could not get back to the winner in the final strides. LA
REASON settled off the pace, moved out and closer four wide late in the final
turn, failed to sustain that advance in the drive while holding sway for the
show. PLATINUM BALLET lacked speed, saved ground the entire trip, failed to
mount a serious late bid, outfinished for the show. STAR PARADE (ARG) broke in,
took over the lead onto the backstretch off the inside and under a hold, dueled
through the second turn outside the winner and gave way in the drive. HOLLYWOOD
STORY pinched back at the start, never a factor.
