Race Summary |
---|
SILENT NAME (JPN) saved ground stalking the pace, bid inside on the second turn
to gain the lead, kicked clear and came off the rail into the stretch, angled
back in and held gamely under good handling. CHINESE DRAGON angled in and
settled inside, saved ground throughout, got through along the rail in the
stretch and gained the place. MILK IT MICK (GB) chased inside, came out off the
winner's heels for room in midstretch and just held third. TERROPLANE (FR)
chased outside a rival then between foes on the second turn, came out into the
stretch and just missed the show. BECRUX (ITY) had speed between foes then set a
pressured pace inside or a bit off the rail, was between horses into the second
turn, fought back outside the winner, came out some into the stretch and
weakened. SWEET RETURN (GB) stalked three deep then outside a rival, went three
wide on the second turn and five wide into the stretch and also weakened.
CAPITANO settled between horses chasing the pace, continued off the rail on the
backstretch and second turn and did not rally. HELM BANK (GB) three deep on the
first turn, chased outside a rival on the backstretch, went three wide again on
the second turn and into the stretch and could not summon the necessary
response. TEDO (GER) prompted the pace outside a rival then three deep into the
second turn, fell back some on that bend, came four wide into the stretch and
weakened. RUNAWAY DANCER a bit slow to begin, saved ground off the pace, came
out into the stretch and was outrun.
