Race Summary |
---|
PLEASANT HOME trailed for a half, saved ground while rapidly making her move
midway on the turn, angled out nearing the quarter pole, split horses while
angling four wide at the quarter pole, quickly charged to the front in upper
stretch, took command in midstretch and drew away with authority under steady
right hand encouragement. SOCIETY SELECTION was unhurried for a half, worked her
way forward along the rail midway on the turn, angled out for room at the
quarter pole, exchanged bumps with ASHADO in upper stretch, battled inside the
favorite through the lane and outfinished that one for the place. ASHADO checked
in traffic along the backstretch, raced in the middle of the pack to the turn,
launched a rally between horses entering the stretch, bumped with SOCIETY
SELECTION while in tight at the three-sixteenths pole, fought into deep stretch
and yielded second in the late stages. STELLAR JAYNE raced up close along the
inside, saved ground for seven furlongs, dropped back on the turn and weakened
in the drive. IN THE GOLD was outrun for a mile, circled five wide entering the
stretch and passed only tiring horses. CAPESIDE LADY sprinted clear, set the
pace under pressure to the top of the stretch and gave way in the drive. NOTHING
BUT FUN never reached contention while five wide throughout. HOLLYWOOD STORY
raced in the middle of the pack while six wide, steadied on the turn and lacked
the needed response when called upon. SWEET SYMPHONY was never a factor. ISLAND
FASHION showed speed for six furlongs and faltered. HAPPY TICKET raced in
traffic along the backstretch, made a five wide middle move to threaten briefly
on the turn and flattened out. YOLANDA B. TOO pressed the pace from outside to
the far turn and gave way. HEALTHY ADDICTION was finished early while three
wide.
