Race Summary |
---|
TRICKEY TREVOR broke in front, settled just off the dueling leaders four or five
wide, gained the advantage in the upper stretch and was kept to his task. WITH
DISTINCTION went up early to vie for the lead outside of BATTLE WON, dueled with
that one, stuck a head in front between calls approaching the stretch but wasn't
a match for the winner in the drive. LEVEL PLAYINGFIELD, settled three or four
wide while outrun for a half, rallied between foes four wide into the final
furlong and finished willingly. SAINTLY LOOK, between foes and four wide for
five furlongs, maneuvered out six wide for the drive, loomed a threat for the
last eighth but lacked a final account. BATTLE WON gained a slight edge early,
raced in the three pace, battled WITH DISTINCTION while inside that one, lost
the lead just after going a half, regained it soon after but weakened in the
drive. DREAMSANDVISIONS, within striking distance and never the inside
throughout, had no rally. THUNDER MISSION never menaced. BUCHAREST faded after a
half. WILD TALE, sluggish to begin and steadied, never reached serious
contention. CHARGING INDIAN tracked the pace four or five wide for five furlongs
and tired in the drive.
