STAKES. 1 1/16 Mile Turf. Purse $75,000. New York Stallion Cormorant S.. FOR COLTS AND GELDINGS THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD ELIGIBLE TO THE NEW YORK STALLION STAKES. Colts and Geldings that have been fully subscribed to The New York Stallion Series (all eligibility requirements met by their three year old season) are eligible to this race. $350 to pass the entry box, $400 to start. The purse to be divided 60% to the winner, 20% to second, 10% to third, 5% to fourth, 3% to fifth and 2% divided equally among remaining finishers. Three year olds, 122 lbs.; older 124 lbs. Non-winners of $35,000 on the turf in 2008 allowed 2 lbs.; $35,000 on the turf in 2007 or $30,000 twice in 2008, 4 lbs.; $30,000 in 2007 or four races lifetime, 6 lbs. (Maiden, claiming and starter races not considered). Preference to start will be given in the following order: Stakes winners, highweights, lifetime earnings. A trophy will be presented to the winning owner. The New York Racing Association reserves the right to transfer this race to the Main Track.
