OBJECTIVE gained command shortly after the start and set all of the pace from just off the rail under good rating, could not quite match strides with the winner when challenged approaching the furlong pole but came back on gamely late. BOLD CHIEFTAIN stalked the pace from the outside throughout, offered his best bid nearing the quarter pole three wide and slackened slightly in the drive. A. P. WARRIOR was climbing a little rank while in behind horses to the backstretch, settled once in the clear on the backstretch, offered a brief bid four wide midway on the second turn but was all through once in the lane.
