CHAMPAGNE ENDING broke a step slow, was hung very wide around the opening turn, gained control once settling into the backstretch, repulsed a challenge from SNUG HARBOUR through the stretch but could not last. MORE THAN PROMISED angled inside to save ground for six furlongs, angled mid-track entering the stretch and finished best of all. POMMES FRITES saved ground while well placed but offered only a mild rally. FLYING CIRCLE came in slightly after the start, raced between horses from the second flight and tired. SNUG HARBOUR showed in front early, relinquished the lead to CHAMPAGNE ENDING entering the backstretch, continued to press the issue to midstretch and faltered. ACLASSYSASSYLASSY raced three wide from the second flight, made a mild run into the stretch and tired. READY'S GAL saved ground and never menaced. TIGER BELLE was outrun. DANSETTA LIGHT angled five wide into the stretch and had no bid. RUNNING BOBCATS, off a bit slow, was hung six wide around the opening bend, remained well wide throughout and stopped. ELLE RUNAWAY stumbled shortly after the start and lost her rider. Following a stewards inquiry into the start the result stood as is.
