Race Summary |
---|
LIKE NOW broke running and quickly opened a clear lead, set the pace along the
inside while well in hand, waited for the challenge of KEYED ENTRY nearing the
stretch then dug in resolutely and held off that rival while drifting out a bit
late under steady left handed pressure. KEYED ENTRY came away in good order, let
the winner make the pace, advanced outside on the second turn, responded when
roused in upper stretch and dug in gamely to the wire but could not get to the
front. SWEETNORTHERNSAINT raced close up outside while in hand, was three wide
on both turns and stayed on gamely outside in the stretch. GREELEY'S LEGACY
raced close up early while in hand, rallied inside on the second turn and
finished gamely on the rail. ACHILLES OF TROY broke slowly, was outrun early,
raced wide on the second turn, had no response when put to the whip and was
vanned off after the finish. PUTONYERDANCINSHUZ was outrun early, raced inside
and had no response when roused. HESANOLDSALT was steadied in tight quarters
along the rail nearing the first turn, dropped along the inside, trailed into
the stretch, angled out for the drive and had no rally. SUNSHINE ALPINE was
outrun early, raced wide throughout and had no response when roused. EAGLE HEAD
raced close up along the inside and was finished after the opening half mile.
CHURCH SERVICE dropped back early, raced inside and tired.
