Race Summary |
---|
BLAZING RATE reserved off the pace, raced three wide on the far turn, rallied
outside the leaders to reach IN SUMMATION inside the eighth pole, then dueled
with that rival and was just up at the wire. IN SUMMATION set the pace under
pressure racing off the rail, responded when challenged by BLAZING RATE, then
dueled with that rival to the wire and just failed to last. LUCKY CHIEF reserved
off the pace, angled to the inside on the far turn after clearing BACETTO,
rallied along the rail to reach IN SUMMATION in the stretch, was caught in tight
quarters while trying to get through inside that rival nearing the sixteenth
pole, then gave way. BACETTO bumped with D. J. BEST in the early going, tracked
the pace along rail into the stretch and had no response when asked. HE'S A
LUMBERJACK failed to menace. FULL IN outrun after bumping with D. J. BEST in the
early going, saved ground and improved his position. FIRST MOVEMENT pinched back
in the early going, raced four wide on the far turn and was never a threat. CAB
steadied and angled outside IN SUMMATION racing into the first turn, moved up to
press the pace outside that rival into the stretch, then was tiring when he
lugged in in behind IN SUMMATION and steadied in midstretch. LIL DIAZO was not a
factor. OLD TOWN POND was outrun while racing three wide. D. J. BEST bumped
between rivals in the early going, was tracking the pace when steadied between
rivals on the first turn, then faded racing into the far turn. The rider of
LUCKY CHIEF lodged an objection against the rider of IN SUMMATION for alleged
interference in the stretch. The claim of foul was not allowed.
