STAKES. 1 1/2 Mile Turf. Purse $600,000. Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Invitational S. (Grade 1). FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD. By invitation only with no subscription fees. The purse to be divided 60% to the winner, 20% to second, 10% to third, 5% to fourth, 3% to fifth and 2% divided equally among remaining finishers. Weight for age. Three year olds, 121 lbs.; older, 126 lbs. Fillies and Mares allowed 3 lbs. The New York Racing Association will select a field of (14) invitees by Saturday, September 13. The owner and/or trainers of these (14) selected horses will be required to notify the NYRA of their intentions to participate in the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic no later than Saturday, September 20. A list of alternates will be published on Sunday, September 21. Trophies will be presented to the winning owner, trainer and jockey. The New York Racing Association reserves the right to transfer this race to the Main Track. In the event that this race is taken off the turf, it may be subject to downgrading upon review by the Graded Stakes Committee.
