Race Summary |
---|
FUNNY CIDE broke alertly, quickly opened a clear lead, set the pace while well
removed from the inner railing, was shaken up five sixteenths from home, lost
the lead while between rivals nearing the eighth pole then dug in resolutely
while being crowded a bit in deep stretch and came again on the rail to get the
job done. GOLD AND ROSES was taken in hand after an alert break, raced just to
the outside of the winner on the backstretch, advanced three wide on the second
turn, rallied to the front at the eighth pole, came in a bit in deep stretch and
dug in gamely but could not handle the winner late. WIN WITH BECK raced in hand
along the inside early, put in a run on the rail on the second turn, reached
even terms for the lead in upper stretch and tired leaving the eighth pole.
DELTA SEA was outrun early, raced inside and had no response when roused.
