DREADNAUGHT , patiently rated, raced wide around the far turn, closed determinedly and was up in time. MAJOR RHYTHM stalked the pace two wide, gained the lead near the sixteenth pole and gave way grudgingly. PATROL sped to the front, set the pace along the rail and weakened late. BUCKEYE WONDER lacked speed and rallied. CLEAR FORECAST lacked speed, raced very wide and rallied. DR. KASHNIKOW , no factor, raced nine wide in upper stretch. RUBI ECHO passed tired rivals. TRIPLE X. was steadied in traffic entering the first turn. SPRUCE RUN gave way. BATTLE CHANT , wide entering the stretch, gave way. PROUD MAN gave way.
