Race Summary |
---|
SILVER WHISTLE never far back while saving ground, eased outside RAMAZUTTI on
the far turn, then responded to pressure in the drive and wore that rival down
to be just up in the final strides. RAMAZUTTI set the pace along the rail into
the stretch, responded when challenged by SILVER WHISTLE in the stretch and just
failed to last. GO DEPUTY allowed to settle, was taken in hand after rushing up
leaving the first turn to reach contention racing down the backstretch, raced
three wide around the final turn and closed with a mild response while just
holding off EINSTEIN (BRZ) for the show. The latter, reserved off the pace,
angled to the outside for the drive and found his best stride late. SABRE
D'ARGENT tracked the pace three wide into the final turn and tired. SCOOTER
ROACH rated off the pace after being steadied on the first turn, raced in
contention to nearing the stretch, then faltered. BROADWAY VIEW was not a
factor. EL DUQUE (ARG) prompted the pace outside RAMAZUTTI into the final turn,
faded and was eased in the final eighth.
