Race Summary |
---|
SUNRIVER was unhurried early on, angled to the outside after leaving the chute,
advanced four wide when shaken up approaching the stretch, dug in determinedly
when put to heavy right handed pressure leaving the eighth pole, finished
strongly outside and was up in the final strides. LEWIS MICHAEL argued the pace
while between rivals, drew clear when roused in upper stretch, took a clear lead
into deep stretch and dug in gamely but could not resist the winner. STRONG
CONTENDER argued the pace while three wide and faded in the final furlong.
HESANOLDSALT was hustled up along the inside, contested the pace into the
stretch and tired. ICE N LEMON was outrun early, came wide nearing the stretch
and had no response when roused. HARBORAGE was outrun early, was hustled along
inside and had no response when roused. TESTIMONY was hustled along while
between rivals and tired after the opening three quarters. REALLY INDIAN was
outrun early, raced four wide on the turn and tired. SCANLON'S SONG was finished
after a half mile.
