Race Summary |
---|
CHARMO (FR) took back at the break and was permitted to lag to the second turn,
angled out at the three eighths and launched a quick rally while circling rivals
four wide into the lane, bested ARAGORN at the furlong pole and outraced that
rival to the line. ARAGORN (IRE) stalked the leaders from the rail from the
outset, remained inside on the second turn while boxed behind the leaders, got
through inside SWEET RETURN entering the lane to gain a short lead but could not
quite match strides with the winner in the drive. PLACE COWBOY (IRE) was never
too far back, followed ARAGORN through inside on the second turn to loom a bold
factor at the head of the lane, shifted out but lacked the needed response.
ADREAMISBORN lagged well back with the winner to the second turn, could not
quite match strides with that rival on the second turn, angled out for the drive
and came on willingly. ULISTNINTOME stalked the pace while fanned four wide on
the first turn, continued to track from the outside, offered his best bid while
fanned three wide into the lane, challenged once straightened for the drive but
lacked the needed response. SWEET RETURN (GB) gained command into the first turn
and gradually crossed over to the rail, set all of the pace to the head of the
lane when he came off the rail and slackened in the drive. HENDRIX stalked the
pace from between horses for six furlong then failed to respond. ROMEO PLUS
(ARG) pressed the pace two wide to the quarter pole and came up empty.
