T. H. APPROVAL chased along the inside then a bit off the rail on the second turn, came out into the stretch and finished well. KING'S DRAMA (IRE) stalked the pace a bit off the rail, bid between foes on the backstretch and outside the pacesetter on the second turn, took a short lead into the stretch, could not quite match the top pair late but bested the others. BULLISTIC saved ground off the pace, cut the corner into the stretch and improved position. CLIPPERDOWN (IRE) steadied when crowded at the start, pulled his way along to stalk outside, went four wide leaving the backstretch, continued three deep leaving the second turn and into the stretch, had the rider lose the whip in upper stretch and lacked the needed rally. BOUTHAN (FR) off a bit slowly, settled outside a rival, came three deep into the stretch and could not offer the necessary response. MODERN ERA (AUS) broke outward, sped to the early lead, set the pace inside, dueled along the rail leaving the backstretch and on the second turn and weakened in the stretch.
