SPLASH into the stretch from the outside, dug in in the deep stretch and was up in the final stride for a desperate decision. MR. SPLASH was quickly in front to set all of the pace under fine rating, responded into the lane then gave way grudgingly only in the final stride. EAGER PHARISIEN tracked the pace from the rail throughout, loomed a bold factor in the upper stretch but lacked the needed response. AIZARUNNER settled within striking distance from the rail early, moved closer two wide on the second turn but weakened slightly in the final furlong. IN EXCELSIS raced unhurried from the outset, was three wide on both turns and lacked a rally. FUNNY FLYER was forwardly placed to the backstretch then faded steadily.
