Race Summary |
---|
BANDINI quickly moved to the fore, was in hand while making the pace along the
rail, drew clear in midstretch, then was under a strong hand ride to hold WE CAN
SEEK (CHI) safe. The latter, well placed while saving ground, eased outside the
winner in the stretch and closed the gap on that rival while clearly best of the
others. O'CONNELL'S (BRZ) rated off the pace, angled four wide on the far turn
and closed to gain the show while no threat to the top ones. NOBLE CAUSEWAY
allowed to settle, raced five wide on the far turn and lacked a rally. NETWORK
outrun early, was attempting to move into contention when steadied in traffic
nearing the eighth pole and failed to be a factor. ZOFFINGER reserved after
breaking slowly, circled rivals four wide on the far turn to reach the attending
position, then tired. CONTANTE (ARG) taken in hand early, moved up racing down
the backstretch, made a run three wide on the far turn to loom a threat, then
faltered in the drive. WHOS CRYING NOW chased the pace into the far turn and
faded.
