Race Summary |
---|
MOSCOW BURNING bobbled at the start, angled in and chased inside then a bit off
the rail into the second turn, came out four wide into the stretch and rallied
under left handed urging to gain the lead in deep stretch and proved best.
BENEFICIAL BARTOK prompted the pace three deep approaching the first turn then
stalked outside a rival, came out into the stretch, bid again outside a foe past
midstretch and edged that one for the place. CHARMSIL bobbled at the start,
raced wide early then angled in and forced the pace between horses, stalked
outside a foe on the first turn and into the backstretch, re-bid alongside
MIDWIFE leaving the backstretch and on the second turn, took a short lead into
the stretch, inched away in midstretch, could not match the winner and was edged
late for second. FIRST DRAFT stalked between foes then inside, split rivals
again into the second turn, came out into the stretch and could not offer the
necessary late kick. ALLBOW saved ground off the pace, moved up inside leaving
the second turn and into the stretch and also lacked the needed late response.
FORMAL MISS wide early, chased outside foes, went three deep on the second turn
and into the stretch and lacked the necessary rally. MIDWIFE took the early lead
and set the pace inside, inched away on the first turn, dueled inside leaving
the backstretch and on the second turn and into the stretch and weakened in the
final furlong. VALENTINE DANCER pulled a bit early, stalked the pace inside,
came out a bit into the stretch, steadied in tight off heels in midstretch and
lacked a further response. ECLIPSE WINNER saved ground off the pace, came out in
the stretch and did not rally. VOUS angled in and settled outside a rival, came
out into the stretch and was not a threat. TIGER BELLE angled in and settled off
the pace just out from the rail then outside a rival, came out for the second
turn and went four wide into the stretch and was not a factor.
