Race Summary |
---|
ASI SIEMPRE drifted out at the start, was steadied, eased off the inside on the
first turn to race in hand five or six wide, worked her way out nine wide for
the drive, reached the front leaving the sixteenth pole, then held DYNAMITE LASS
under strong handling. DYNAMITE LASS, unhurried early and five or six wide,
circled horses ten wide in the upper stretch, loomed menacingly at the end and
couldn't get up. VICTORY LAP leaned in at the start bumping STEEL BUNS, was
never far back while racing between foes, continued from between horses entering
the lane while coming out six or seven wide, gained the lead between calls but
couldn't sustain the needed momentum. ELLE RUNAWAY, six wide early, raced eight
wide on the backstretch, edged in slightly on the second turn, commenced a
sweeping run to reach the front nearing the final furlong but failed to
continue. BEAT THE BAND edged in three or four wide early, raced forwardly in
behind front-running STAVINSKY'S GAL until approaching the final quarter and
weakened. STAVINSKY'S GAL gained the lead at the start, raced well off the
inside, made the pace until nearing the final quarter and tired. SUNNY
DISPOSITION, well placed five wide for six furlongs, weakened thereafter. INSAN
MALA (IRE) raced near the inside from early on, raced within striking distance
along the inside into the upper stretch and flattened out. STEEL BUNS, bumped
lightly at the start by VICTORY LAP, settled near the inside and faded leaving
the backstretch.
