Race Summary |
---|
BERNARDINI raced just to the outside of pacesetter LUXEMBORG, went after that
rival in earnest turning for home, quickly drew away and was ridden out to the
finish, his rider having dropped his whip before using it. DOC CHENEY raced
close up early while in hand, came wide into the stretch and finished well to
earn the place while no real threat to the winner. LUXEMBOURG quickly showed in
front, set the pace while removed from the inner railing, could not stay with
the winner into the stretch and tired in the final furlong. ROB'EM BLIND was
outrun early, raced inside and had no response when roused.
