Hollywood Park announces fall stakes The $750,000 CashCall Futurity (G1), an annual stop for future Triple Crown contenders, will once again be the richest event on the stakes calendar for the 2011 Autumn Meet at Hollywood Park. Formerly the Hollywood Futurity, the race is in its fifth year of sponsorship by the consumer loans company founded by noted horse owner-breeder J. Paul Reddam. It has produced six Kentucky Derby (G1) winners and 15 Triple Crown race winners since its inaugural running in 1981. The CashCall Futurity will be run for the 31st time on December 17, the penultimate day of the meet. Seventeen stakes races with purses of more than $3 million are scheduled for the 26-day season, which commences November 10 and continues through December 18. The Turf Festival will once again share the spotlight with the Futurity and $250,000 Hollywood Starlet S. (G1). The Turf Festival, which will be staged for the 18th time in 19 years over Thanksgiving weekend, consists of five graded races. The Festival continues to feature three Grade 1 events -- the $250,000 Matriarch S. on November 25, the $250,000 Citation H. on November 26, and the $250,000 Hollywood Derby on November 27. The co-feature with the Matriarch on the first day of the Festival is the $100,000 Miesque S. (G3) for two-year-old fillies at one mile. The Generous S. (G3), for two-year-olds at one mile, shares the spotlight with the Hollywood Derby. The sixth Grade 1 event of the meet is the $250,000 Hollywood Turf Cup on November 19. The Autumn Meet stakes schedule, which includes 12 graded races, begins with the $100,000 Real Quiet S. for two-year-olds on November 12.
