I became the first qualifier for the 2008 HPWS by winning the Delaware Park mini contest on January 7, 2007. In addition to the first prize I finished with a $989 live bankroll.
I have also won and finished in the money in numerous online contests and won many other wagers at OTB, at the track or through my Brisbet account including:
Delaware Park 6/18/05 $2 Trifecta $638;
Belmont 5/20/06 $1 Pick 4 $930;
Canterbury Park 7/3/06 $1 Superfecta $659;
Woodbine 7/21/06 $1 Superfecta $1,995.15
| Started Playing:
| I started wagering in early 1985 winning almost $1000 on an "EF" exacta at New York OTB (they used letters back then). I started handicapping a few months later when I realized what I had been doing the past few months was only making educated (and sometimes uneducated) guesses. | Handicapping Mentor(s):
| I taught myself to handicap by reading numerous books, magazines and articles and learning to read the Daily Racing Form. | Handicapping Style:
| I don't have a particular style of handicapping. I visualize where every horse "should" be at various points during the race and decide the top prospect(s) from that analysis. I look at jockey/trainer connections, troubled trips, jockeys and trainers with high win and in the money percentages, and focus on my strengths which are sprints and turf racing. |
