My favorite races to handicap are 2 year old races as I like following sire stats, especially new sires. The dam and sire stats, as well as the trainer and jockey stats in the Ultimate PPs are indispensable. Although I am an avid handicapper I am not a big bettor. I enjoy the challenge of trying to find long shots. One of my more recent successful finds was Ionia, (Indian Charlie) first time starter at Del Mar this past summer.
