Player Profile

 Bill Stevens
  FL
2003 Brisnet Spring Online Handicapping Challenge
 Occupation: Program Manager
 Other Accomplishments:
1) Won the 4/20/2003 Brisnet online handicapping tournament: $5K and a trip to Vegas.
2) 30+ IRS signers in 2003
Started Playing: 1978 at Oaklawn Park Hot Springs Arkansas
Handicapping Mentor(s): Andrew Beyer and his speed handicapping followed by William L Quirin Winning at the Races (1979). I have read all the Thoroughbred handicapping books and started keeping details on track variance using a Radio Schack TRS80 computer.
Handicapping Style: "I always get the Ultimate PPs with Summary. The summary page helps me weed through races to find the best betting opportunities. I look for horses that rate highly in the race summary and check to see if their running style fits the track bias. BRIS Speed and Pace ratings are the best. I used to calculate my own speed figures but the figures in the Ultimates are far more accurate."
