Ultimate PP Special!
The ULTIMATE PP's (all 3 PDF Versions) offer the edge you need this summer at Del Mar and Saratoga. Now, there is no reason not to use the ULTIMATE PDF PAST PERFORMANCES, as they are specially priced at only \$2.00 per card during the month of August! Regularly \$5 to \$7.50, the Ultimate PDF PP's give horseplayers a real weapon to attack the races. Trainer stats, pedigree data, Prime Power, and Class, Pace & Speed Ratings are just a few of the Ultimate features that the general public is playing without.
"It is apparent to me why you have named the Ultimate PP option as you. It is the 'ultimate'!" The goal here at BRIS is to constantly provide handicappers with the latest, high-tech handicapping tools. To accomplish this, we continue to enhance our already powerful reports such as the Ultimate PP's. New Pedigree features have now been added to the PP's. As the example below illustrates, an extra line for damsire stats has been added to the pedigree stats section for each runner. Also, we now provide the racing performance of the dam. You will know if the dam was unraced, a winner, or a stakes performer.
"It is the best handicapping tool money can buy." Available for maiden and turf races, the pedigree stats give you an exclusive look into the bloodlines of each horse. For those of you unfamiliar with the BRIS pedigree stats, here is a brief definition of each stat: AWD - the average winning distance in furlongs of the Sire's or Damsire's offspring. An AWD of 7.0 or greater indicates a preference to run longer distances. The higher the number, the more stamina inherent. %Mud - percentage of winners on "off" tracks by the Sire or Damsire's offspring. MudSts - the number of "off" track attempts made by the offspring. %Turf - percentage of winners on the grass by the offspring. %1stT - percentage of runners who won their turf debut. SPI - the Sire Production Index, a number quantifying the average racing class of the offspring. SPI is based on the average earnings per start for all of the stallion's foals which have started three or more times. The higher the SPI, the better the sire or dam's sire. DPI - a similar number quantifying the success of the Dam's offspring. As with the SPI, a rating of 1.00 is the norm. Anything higher than 1.00 is above normal. %2yW - percentage of the dam's runners who won at age two. A high number indicates precocious breeding. trfW - number of turf winners produced by the dam. Look for a 2 or more as a powerful pedigree play! str - number of dam's offspring who started at the races. w - number of dam's offspring who won at the races. Compare this to the number of starters (str) and look for a high ratio of winners-to-starters. sw - number of dam's offspring who were stakes winners. During the month of August, all three versions of the Ultimate PDF Past Performances (which require the latest free version of Adobe Acrobat) are only \$2 per card. What are you waiting for? Start getting an edge at the races today!

Take advantage of Insider Picks & Power Plays, a selection sheet like none other ever developed. Nowhere else will you find the 3 Star Best Bets, high percentage winning selections. Check out these tidbits of track bias information below, and then we'll look at the reports offered here at BRIS that will give you an edge at the windows. DEL MAR (July 22 - September 8, dark Tuesdays) Historically, Six Furlongs consistently favors runners breaking from outside post positions, and 1998 was no exception. The other sprint distances last meet favored runners from inside posts, but all sprints favored runners with good early foot. The best distance for a front-running score was at Seven Furlongs, which saw 42% win wire-to-wire. In dirt routes, 1 1/16-miles and 1 1/8-miles have been the best bets for a wire-to-wire winner. Early types breaking from an inside posts are the most dangerous runners at these distances. Frontrunners do win at one mile but with less frequently. Especially in these races, handicappers are advised to consult our Late Pace Ratings to determine which runners have the best closing kick. The grass course sees both Early/Pressers and Sustained types (deep closers) score with frequency. Late Speed types and middle posts (4-7) do well at each turf distance. SARATOGA (July 28 - September 7, dark Tuesdays) Although the track can temporarily change over the course of a few days, there are predominant track biases that handicappers can count on at Saratoga. Dirt sprints, especially 5 1/2 and 6 furlong events, favor early speed types, and outside post positions (8 and beyond) typically fare well. BRIS Pace Ratings, found in all of our online past performances, are essential for determining the runners with the best early zip. Routes are two-turn races at the Spa, and the best bets over the past few years have been early types with inside posts. The rail, or one hole, is often the best post to play at 1 1/8 miles. There's a difference between the two turf courses. Historically, the inner turf with its tighter turns gives a built-in advantage to runners with early foot and inside posts. The inside posts (one through three) are also preferred on the main turf course, but Pressers (mid pack runners) fare best here.
