BRISnet.com customer Steve Walker from Lincoln, NE took home the top prize of \$100,000 in cash and
the title of NTRA Handicapper of the Year at the recent DRF National
Handicapping Championship. A Track Bias specialist, Walker utilized the value
added data found in the Ultimate PP's with Summary to aid him in his
incredible accomplishment.
The two-day tournament, held at the MGM Grand January 7 and 8, came down to
the very last race of the contest, a claiming event at Sam Houston. In a
heart-pounding finish the top four finalists all nailed the winner, Smilin
Forbes, a 9-1 longshot. Although each of them probably thought they had won
the championship, the leader Steve Walker won the grand prize.
"If I'm real serious, if I'm in some type of tournament, I definitely use
brisnet.com. It's very valuable. When I'm serious about picking horses and
being more accurate, then I use BRIS," stated Steve Walker.
"The main use that I had [from the Ultimate PP's with Summary] was the track
bias and post position bias info. That was very valuable to me. In fact, that
was the basis of a lot of my picks. I tried to pick horses that were going to
be compatible with the bias of a track, not only recently but over the course
of the meet."
A BRISNET TRIFECTA!
The story does not end with Steve Walker's victory. The runner-up, Maury
Wolff, and third place finisher, Steve Terelak, are also brisnet.com
customers. In fact, when the championship was over, brisnet.com customers
walked away with over \$150,000 in cash from the \$200,000 prize pool!
"When I reviewed the list of players for the championship, I recognized
several of our BRISnet members," said Richard Nilsen of Bloodstock Research.
"Knowing the caliber of the handicappers that visit our site, I felt we had a
great shot of one of our members placing in the top five. We were extremely
proud to learn that our members finished one-two-three. I think this really
proves how powerful our BRISnet products are and where the nation's best
handicappers shop for information."
Along with Handicapper of the Year Steve Walker, runner-up Maury Wolff loves
the value-added data supplied by BRIS.
"BRIS has changed the game! What I used to do by hand, I can now tap into the
database at brisnet.com," claimed Maury Wolff. "I love the trainer stats from
BRIS. They're invaluable! I also rely on the American Produce Records on
CD-ROM. What I like most is that in a very short period of time, you can look
up the entire record of a mare and what her offspring have done..."

\$197,914.00
Dear BRIS Staff,
I have enclosed the following: copies of the results for the Pick-6 at Bay
Meadows on November 5, 1999, as well as the ticket and a check to me from
Ladbroke (minus taxes and \$20,000 cash). As you see from my past billing, I
used the Ultimate PP's and Summary to aid me in having the only ticket on that
Pick-6 [which paid \$197,914]. You may use my name in any promotion for your handicapping promotions.
Happy Holidays to all, Ron Ruchtie
