"I used your Multicaps software today for the first time and was amazed at the consistency from track to track. This is something that has been missing on a lot of other software that I have used over the years. I won a trifecta today at Oaklawn for the first time in my life. I would have had another at Turfway if I had bet it. It also nailed Bay Meadows to the wall and even Hialeah was fairly consistent... Thanks!" -- R. Beal "Thanks to the MultiCaps program, I won $12,680 in the Pick 6 on Kentucky Oaks day (April 30, 1999)... it took me only 45 minutes to download, import and handicap the whole card. And by using my favorite screen, I was able to quickly separate the contenders from the pretenders and put together the best $16 ticket I have ever wagered! Thanks BRIS and thank you MultiCaps!" -- A. Wheeler "It finally happened! Sunday May 16, 1999 I hit the superfecta at Belmont Park for $2,043. The MultiCaps program picked the first four horses across the finish line... I want you to know right now this is only program I've used for the past 7-8 months. Thank you very much and keep up the good work." -- B. Stephan "I've tried many programs over the years and MultiCaps is the most effective and easiest to use. Consider me a MultiCaps user for life!" -- K. Mulligan |

Two Brisnet Members are Heading to Vegas! The $25,000 Brisnet.com Online Handicapping Challenge was a very competitive event that came right down to the wire. The overall winner for total points (most winners) was Edward Gasperi of Gansevoort, New York who won the tiebreaker over Dennis Patton. A first time tournament contestant, but a Brisnet member since 1998, Edward used Ultimate PPs to earn a spot in the 2001 NTRA National Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas. "I take an all encompassing look to handicapping when using the Ultimates. Initially I use the race summary to determine which horses have the right running style for the race. Then I use the Pars to look for contenders with the right profile for the race. After that, I check out their current form, works, trainer stats, etc. The comments came in handy when we had to handicap some of the smaller tracks. It really gave a quick snapshot of who was hot and helped me get up to speed. I really want to thank BRIS for the tournament." The Overall Challenge winner based on ROI was Ron Howard of Clare, Michigan. After 4 weeks of intense competition Ron Howard wrestled away the top spot for the bankroll in the Brisnet.com Online Handicapping Challenge. Ron was extremely pleased to see that the ROI had been added as a qualifier for the Challenge. "To me, ROI is the true of measure of handicapping so I was very happy to see the switch." A member for the last couple of years, Ron used a combination of Winner's Choice and Condensed PPs to become the overall bankroll champ. "The Condensed PPs helped me pick out my longshot bomb Hailtheliquidator." Honorable mention goes out to Daniel Hawthorn who staged a remarkable comeback. With only a $15 bankroll after week 2, Daniel never gave up, finishing with a $171.40 bankroll, claiming 3rd prize in the ROI division. Recent Weekly Winners Kentucky native Ron Stucker took home the $1,000 prize for ROI in Week 4. "I use BRIS for handicapping and pedigree information. I own some horses, so going to one site for everything makes sense. For the contest I used the Ultimate PPs for the speed and class information." Wonder whatever happened to Mary Hartmann? Well, it turns out she is a top-notch handicapper who tied in Week 3 for the most number of wins. "I love the comprehensiveness [of the Ultimates]. I look at all the different information: Trainer Stats, Class Ratings, Race Ratings, Breeding. It all helps me, especially when I am looking for value. Thanks for the contest. It was great!" Brand-new Brisnet.com member Tim Mason claimed a share of Week 3's prize money for the highest number of wins. Using only the Wizard Contest selections Tim picked 6 winners. "It is kind of funny. I had a terrible day at the track but a great day in the contest. I have been meaning to join for a while but was a little leery about joining an online service for security reasons. I'm glad I joined; the contest is fantastic." Brisnet data file user Daniel Hawthorn employed his own handicapping program to pick out the longshot bomb HAILTHELIQUIDATOR on his way to capturing Week 3's top prize for ROI. A frequent tournament player Daniel was pleased to see the change in the contest rules for the 2001 Challenge. "The ROI factor really helped me out. I'm a definite longshot player. The change in format really plays to my strengths." What a difference a week makes. Longtime Brisnet member Joe Corbett incredible record setting 9 win performance that weekend sparked an amazing turnaround after only selecting 2 winners in Week one. The 9-win effort more importantly helped Joe claim all $2,500 of the weekly prize money. "In week one I felt I rushed some of my picks so I made sure to take my time this week. On Thursday I downloaded the Ultimate PPs with Comments and really focused in on the summary page. I use the Summary page to identify the contenders and then I review the running lines. This way I don't waste my time any non-contenders. I like horses that rate highly in the summary and on Prime Power. Especially if the horse has a 5 point Prime Power point advantage. The comments are helpful to. Information I might miss like a strong workout or info on the breeding always show up in the comments." Mark your calendars because the next $25,000 Brisnet.com Online Handicapping Challenge
is scheduled for September 29 through October 20, 2001. Registration opens soon for the next Challenge.
