Long-time Brisnet.com member and Ultimate PP user Lou Filoso has had quite a year thus far. In March he finished a close runner-up in the Turfvivor contest at Gulfstream Park, earning $10,000 and a qualifying trip to Las Vegas. However, that turned out to be simply a prep for the prestigious Orleans Handicapping Championship in April. There, Lou teamed up with partner Richard Eng, to capture the $111,000 grand prize!
A Brisnet.com Hall of Fame member, Lou explained his handicapping philosophy:
"I download the Ultimate Summary, which I have used for quite some time. I rely on the Back Speed column, especially at the premier meets, e.g. Gulfstream, Keeneland, etc. I also look for improving [speed] numbers. This is something that will dictate a lot of plays for me. I also incorporate the key race factor into my handicapping.
The BRIS numbers are a big factor in my decision making. I can get 'live' value plays using the BRIS numbers. I've been a customer for over 15 years and have not found better numbers anywhere! Thank you BRIS."
Back in October, 1995 Lou teamed up with another Brisnet customer, Bill Handleman, to take first place in the Penn National World Series of Handicapping.

Robert Swickard - April 19, 2003
"Without Ultimate PPs with Comments, I feel that I would have had no shot at winning the 2003 Online Handicapping Challenge. I've found BRIS Race Ratings and Class Ratings to be the most valuable information. Ultimate PPs, track bias stats, post position bias stats along with running style stats give me the information that other services don't have."
William Stevens - April 20, 2003
"I always get the Ultimate PPs with Summary. The summary page helps me weed through races to find the best betting opportunities. I look for horses that rate highly in the race summary and check to see if their running style fits the track bias. BRIS Speed and Pace ratings are the best. I used to calculate my own speed figures but the figures in the Ultimates are far more accurate."
