BRIS Speed Ratings reign Supreme again.

While the Beyer numbers had Curlin ranked on top in the entire field with a last race 103 figure, it didn't quite stack up the same on the superior BRIS ratings. Curlin's career best 102 was below a trio of runners in the field that included 10-1 runner-up Hard Spun, and significantly below the 105 and 111 BRIS Speed Ratings earned by Street Sense (from his last 3 races). For curious minds, Street Sense earned a 108 Speed Rating for his Derby win. Both Curlin and Street Sense earned a monstrous 113 figure for their Preakness efforts.

Wizard is Red Hot!

Not only did the Wizard strike gold with his $10.80 Pick of the Day winner on the Derby undercard, but the Wizard came back in the feature with the $440 Trifecta based on a $2 payoff. His top pick ran third, and his 2nd pick won, but his wagering strategies correctly gave out the winning score.
