The majority of our members who compete in the NTRA National Handicapping Championship and Coast Casino's Horseplayer World Series in Las Vegas use Ultimate PPs! It's no coincidence the BEST handicappers in America rely on Ultimate Past Performances from Brisnet.com. "Truthfully, BRIS was a big key to my victory. The fact I was able to download Ultimate Past Performances and handicap Fair Grounds' Friday and Saturday cards early [in the week] was a huge advantage for me. By working ahead I was fresher and better prepared to tackle the other contest tracks. A day before the tournament had even started, I already had four picks laid out for Fair Grounds, including the horse that helped me win the tournament, Big Love Bill." -Richard Goodall, 2007 NTRA Handicapper of the Year HANDICAP THE ULTIMATE WAY!Get the edge you need to win at the races with the best Past Performance product in the business. No other racing organization is offering handicappers more chances to qualify for the $1 million NHC than Churchill Downs. Here are upcoming opportunities.
The Internet's best handicapping newsletter, the daily Handicapper's Edge, and the Wizard were the source of some nice scores over Breeders' Cup XXV weekend. During the Breeders' Cup the Edge editorial staff covered each of the 14 races. Several winners were given out, but none more impressive than Vance Hanson's selection of Desert Code in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint. Other nice scores included the $107.20 reverse exacta in the Breeders' Cup Turf from International Racing expert Kellie Reilly. TURF SPRINT from the Handicapper's Edge NewsletterRightly or wrongly, the approach I took in scooping out this race was to give extra credit to those who have positive experience over this unique downhill course, which also requires a brief crossing over the main track. 1st -- DESERT CODE (E Dubai), who was on the also-eligible list when pre-entries were announced, is now in the main body of the field after the defection of Tropic Storm (Stormy Atlantic). The bettor in me is probably pushing aside the more thoughtful handicapper in landing on this choice, but the fact is that on his best day he is as capable as anyone else in the field, not to mention a three-time winner over this course and distance. Granted, he's run some detestable races down the hill, including the Morvich H. (G3) last time, but our belief is that he is capable of better. Returning from a layoff in the Morvich, he engaged eventual winner CALIFORNIA FLAG (Avenue of Flags) from the start and lost that battle of wills in what turned out to be a course-record performance for that rival. Looking back on his past performances, however, we see a colt capable of sitting off the pace and saving his best run for the end, the kind of move that propelled him to wins in the Baldwin S. (G3) as a three-year-old and in the Joe Hernandez S. last March. The WIZARD'S RED HOT PICK OF THE DAY does it again. Wizard's selection of Goldikova crushes her male rivals and keys winning $27.20 exacta 4 times! The Wizard has selected over 45% winners from his Pick of the Day selection since late August. It's his best bet from across the country on a daily basis. Here was THE WIZARD'S write up on the Pick of the Day: # 4 GOLDIKOVA Goldikova has earned the distinction of being the horse to beat in the BC Turf Mile. In 8 career starts she has 5 wins, 2 seconds, and a third. She has raced against the finest milers in the world, and one of the greatest fillies of all time, the undefeated 3 year old Zarkava, winner of this years Prix de lArc de Triomphe at Longchamp. Goldikova was beaten 2 lengths when second in her first meeting with Zarakava in a Group 1 stake, despite stumbling leaving the gate. When they met again, Goldikova, finished third in the group 1 French Oaks at a distance that was too far for her in her only career race beyond a mile. Since that race she has reeled off 3 straight wins. Her last 2 victories have come in Group 1 events. In the Prix du Moulin de Longchamp she defeated the top class Darjina, and multiple G1 winner Henrythenavigator was left in her wake, checking in fifth. He came back to run a close second to Ravenss Pass September 27 at Ascot, in the prestigious G1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes. Both are entered in the BC Classic, and both are threats to Curlin. Goldikova enters the Mile off 48 days of rest, which should have her razor sharp. Goldikova is at her best when she can stalk the pace or rate in mid-pack, then make her move approaching the stretch. When she hits the stretch, Goldikova has a huge stride and a powerful burst of acceleration. Like any European, she must overcome the tight turns at the mile distance and a firm grass course. Its interesting to note that her trainer Freddie Head won the BC Mile 3 times as a jockey, twice aboard the legendary Miesque, This years BC Mile in not a stellar field, especially with Ravens Pass and Henrythenavigator electing to go in the Classic. As a result, the U.S. milers are vulnerable to a top class European. That invader is Goldikova. With a clean trip, she will be very tough to defeat.
