ENTRY
This is an Internet-based contest, entries will only be accepted through the
online entry form at http://www.Brisnet.com/challenge/ .
Only one entry per person, per Brisnet username, and per social
security/social insurance number is allowed. Multiple entries are
cause for disqualification of all involved entries. A player may not
submit multiple entries with different names, addresses, usernames, etc. BRIS
reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any player who BRIS
believes has submitted multiple entries in the contest.
To participate in the Brisnet.com Online
Handicapping Challenge, you must complete your contest registration by the
time and dates listed above.
This
is an Internet-based contest, entries will only be
accepted through the online entry and selection form. No faxed, mailed,
electronically mailed or phoned in entries are allowed.
A player's name, hometown and score can be
listed on Brisnet.com.
By entering players acknowledge compliance
with the official rules including all eligibility requirements.
CONDITIONS
1) During the contest registration, players will be required to enter their
first name and last name, Brisnet username, mailing address, valid e-mail
address, and the last four digits of their social security number. In an
effort to assure that all entrants have an equal opportunity to compete, all
winners will have their identity, address, and other registration information
independently verified.
2) Each player will enter the challenge and
log on using their existing Brisnet username and password.
3) Players will select one runner from each
of the designated contest races from a pull down list. Selections must be
made prior to the contest deadline as outlined above.
4) Players will select horses by name,
irrespective of their program number or coupled entry status. If a selected
horse is coupled, points and the $2 win and place mutuel
payoff are only awarded for the horse selected, not for any other horse(s)
he/she may be coupled with.
5) For each correct selection a
player will earn the $2 win mutuel payoff with a
cap of 24-1 ($50 maximum) and the $2 place mutuel
payoff with a cap of 9-1 ($20 maximum).
6) In the event that a selected horse is
scratched or declared a non-starter, the alternate selection will be used. If
no alternate selection is chosen or if that runner is also scratched, the
post time favorite will be substituted.
7) The official final order of finish according
to the host racetrack will determine whether the $2 win
and place mutuel payoffs are awarded. There
is a cap of $50 to win and $20 to place.
8) Only the designated contest races count
toward a player's score, occurring after sign up.
9) The $2 win
and place mutuel payoffs can only be earned
after successful enrollment in the contest.
10) Updated standings will be posted on the
Brisnet.com Web site as soon as possible at the end of each contest day.
It is the responsibility of the player to
bring any alleged error to the attention of BRIS within 48 hours by sending
an e-mail to Ed.DeRosa@brisnet.com.
11) The winners of the online contest will
be the contestant with the highest accumulated bankroll.
12) If the grand prize winner already has
the maximum number of HPWS entries then the HPWS seat will be awarded to the
2nd place finisher or the next finisher eligible for the HPWS.
13) A grand prize winner is only eligible for one
trip to Las Vegas.
Participants can win a maximum of one entry into the Las Vegas tournaments in January 2013.
14) In the event that there is a tie between two or
more players for the highest bankroll total at the end of the contest, the
following procedure will be used to break the tie. The first tie breaker is
the most winners selected. In the event two or more players are still tied,
the most place horses selected will be used to break the tie. If a tie still
exists, the highest win payoff will be used until the tie is broken. In the
event a tie is not broken, players will either share the prize equally or
participate in a "playoff" the following Saturday. Bloodstock
Research Information Services(BRIS) will make the
final decision.
15) Alternate qualifiers will be ranked by
order of finish in case the actual winners do not accept or do not qualify
for the prizes. Only qualified entrants are eligible for prizes.
16) BRIS reserves the right to change the
contest schedule without notice. In the event that a contest race is
cancelled and not run on the scheduled date, regardless of reason, that race
will be withdrawn from the contest, even if it is made up at a later date.
17) Participants may select the horses for
their entries anytime according to the dates and times posted on the contest
pages. (dates and times subject to change without
notification).
18) Selections for all races must be
submitted and are final by the race day selection deadline. See "Contest
Dates" for race day selection
deadline times and dates. Final entries can not be changed after the deadline
for any reason. Take your time when entering your selections. The selections
page will not be accessible after the race day selection deadline of each contest
date.
19) The system logs the time and date each
player enters their selections.
20) Each player agrees to allow BRIS to use
their name and picture for publicity if they are a prize winner.

e-mails reminding them of upcoming contest dates; however, BRIS takes no
responsibility for reminding players about upcoming races. It is solely the
player's responsibility to meet all contest deadlines for entry.
22) BRIS will post past performance
information, commentary and charts of trial races when appropriate. BRIS
shall not be liable for any inaccurate, incomplete, or missing information
that is posted. Such information is posted only to help players make their
selections and any opinions or analysis posted by BRIS regarding the outcome
of the races should not be taken as a recommendation of which horses to
select.
23) All entries, along with all copyright,
