Seven will enter the gate for the $100,000 Morvich H. (G3) at Santa Anita on
Saturday going 6 1/2 furlongs on the turf.

DE VALMONT (Aus) (Dehere) is coming off four straight triple-digit BRIS Speed
figure runs, three of which earned the seven-year-old gelding trips to the
winner’s circle. The Ruben Cardenas charge is two-for-two at this distance and
jockey Mike Smith has won five of his last nine starts over the past week. We
think the pair will get their picture taken at the end.

LEROIDESANIMAUX (Brz) (Candy Stripes) is coming off a six-month layoff after
a victory in the Inglewood H. (G3) at Hollywood Park. The Bobby Frankel-trained
four-year-old chestnut is two-for-three at Santa Anita and could fare well in
this one. Jon Court has the call.

CODED MESSAGE (Lost Code) ran wire-to-wire in an optional claimer last out
and stands a good chance here. The six-year-old gelding is making his graded
debut, but is stepping up in fine form. Trainer Paul Aguirre will lift Danny
Sorenson into the irons.

CAYOKE (Fr) (Always Fair) exits a second-place outing in the Live the Dream
H. He ran a disappointing ninth in the Eddie Ring H. (G1) two prior and the Jeff
Mullins pupil has the ability to land on the board. Gary Stevens has his first
call aboard the seven-year-old.

GERONIMO (Chi) (Gold Tribute) has nice closing speed which may get him up
near the top in the end. IRGUNETTE (Aus) (Irgun) is the lone female in the field
and is coming off an eight-month layoff. She may be outclassed here. VASYWAIT
(Fr) (Valanour [Ire]) finished 13 lengths back in his last effort and we do not
see him stealing the win.
