Star Park on Thursday prior to Saturday’s Breeders’ Cup World
Thoroughbred Championships.
Group 1 winner POWERSCOURT (GB) (Sadler’s
Wells), a leading contender for the Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1),
breezed three furlongs in :42 2/5 over a track rated fast.
Multiple Group 1 winner NEBRASKA TORNADO (Storm
Cat), who will make her dirt and United States debut in the
Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1), breezed three furlongs out of the
gate in :40.
Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) entrant DIAMOND GREEN
(Fr) (Green Desert) clocked three furlongs out of the gate in :41.
Multiple Group 1 winner WHIPPER (Miesque’s
Son), who is listed at 8-1 on the morning-line for the Mile, went
three-eighths in :44.
Sword Dancer Invitational S. (G1) winner BETTER TALK
NOW (Talkin Man), who is listed at 15-1 for the 1 1/2-mile
Turf, breezed three furlongs in :45 1/5 over a good turf course.
