Aqueduct cancels Thanksgiving card
after two races
Adverse track conditions forced the cancellation of Aqueduct’s
Thanksgiving Day card following the 2ND race. Patrons were given
rain checks for admission, parking and programs, and Thursday’s
feature race, the $100,000 Fall Highweight H. (G3), will be
re-drawn on Friday and run Sunday.
Post times were moved back to accommodate track maintenance
workers, who tried to harrow and float the main track after
unseasonably warm temperatures caused the sloppy track surface to become
unstable.
Live racing resumed Friday. Sunday is the final day of racing
