D'Amico fund raiser at Furlongs
A fund raiser for injured jockey Tony D'Amico will be held on
Monday from 6-10 p.m. (EST) at Furlongs Restaurant on Frankfort Avenue in Louisville, Kentucky. A $25 per person door charge will
include dinner, a cash bar, silent and live auctions, and time mingling with jockeys and other racetrack characters.
D'Amico spent 14 days at the University of Louisville Hospital
for injuries sustained in a spill at Churchill Downs on November
3. He was released Tuesday night and is at home recovering from
two surgeries to repair a crushed rib cage and broken shoulder.
A special account has been established for the fallen rider at
Fifth Third Bank and all donations are welcome. For more
information, contact JoLynn Johnston at (513) 354-8234.
