Dates set for Meadowlands, Monmouth
The Meadowlands and Monmouth Park, both owned and operated by
the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority, have been given
a combined 120 days of Thoroughbred racing in 2005 by the New
Jersey State Racing Commission.
Monmouth Park, located near the Jersey Shore, will begin on
May 14 and offer 90 days of live racing through September 25. The
Oceanport track will host the Breeders’ Cup in 2007.
Meadowlands, which will also feature 161 days of Standardbred
racing in 2005, will start it’s Thoroughbred meet on September 30
and hold 30 programs through November 12.
