The second division of Friday’s Miesque S. (G3) probably came
up tougher than the first with the promising WITTEN (Fusaichi
Pegasus) highlighting the cast. A maiden winner in her second
career start in France, the Florida-bred filly then captured the
Grand Criterium de Bordeaux S. in her last appearance.

Witten led early in her last two French victories and should
show speed from her outside post in her U.S. bow with Tyler Baze
in the saddle. She owns the best BRIS Class figures in the field
and could prove to be a dominant factor on the front end.

WISE INVESTOR (Belong to Me) has shown a preference for the
grass and improved nicely for conditioner Carla Gaines when
finishing third in a listed event at Santa Anita last out. She
should be well placed early and appears capable of challenging
for the top three finish at a decent price.

CONVEYOR’S ANGEL (Conveyor) is another contender for the
exotics and enters off a two-race win skein, including a victory
in the Hidden Light S. most recently. The dark bay will be
running late under Gary Stevens and looms a serious win candidate
if our top choice falters.

PADDY’S DAISY (King of Kings [Ire]) ships west off a pair of
stakes victories for trainer Todd Pletcher, but she didn’t beat
much in those starts and could be an underlay against better
rivals here. The chestnut remains a serious threat for part. LADY
LE QUESNE (Ire) (Alhaarth) showed solid form in England over the
summer but didn’t fare well in her last two attempts against
better company. We’ll watch to see how she fares in her first
American start.

KENZA (Menifee) recorded a maiden score over the course in her
last, but the promising chestnut may need a race against stakes
rivals before being a factor at this level. SHE SINGS (Petionville)
goes back to the grass following a solid front-running victory on
the main track, but she’ll probably need to improve significantly
to challenge. MAC RHAPSODY (GB) (Night Shift) makes her U.S.
debut off a couple of efforts in Italy. We’ll give her a race.
