TRACK BANDIT PREVIEWS

Saturday’s $150,000 Mrs. Revere S. (G2) features a field of 11 three-year-old
fillies and the turf at Churchill should have plenty of give to it with the
recent wet weather. RIVER BELLE (GB) (Lahib) is 8-5 on the morning line and
looks tough, but she’s likely to be overbet and we’ll make a play on LENATAREESE
(Broad Brush) in this 1 1/16-mile contest.

Winner of the Audubon Oaks over a good turf three starts back, the David
Carroll-trained lass looks like the strongest closer in the field and should
have a legitimate pace up front. Lenatareese experienced a horrible trip last
time when blocked on the far turn of the Valley View S. (G3) and she probably
lost all chance at the start in the Pebbles S. (G3) two races back. She reeled
off three straight wins prior to those troubled trips, including a victory at
Churchill over a solid optional claiming/allowance field in July, and has earned
BRIS Late Pace ratings of 106 and 104. The Mrs. Revere should set up perfectly
for the bay filly.

River Belle captured her U.S. bow at Saratoga and then finished a close third
in the Boiling Springs S. (G3) at Monmouth Park. She stepped up to face Grade 1
rivals in the Queen Elizabeth II Invitational Challenge Cup last out and ran a
big race on the front end before weakening late to third, beaten only a length.
The chestnut is going in the right direction for conditioner Todd Pletcher and
picks up the services of Kieren Fallon. River Belle has shown more speed in her
recent outings and will probably need to settle in the early going to be most
effective here. We wouldn’t be surprised to see her come out on top.

BLACK ROCK ROAD (Bertrando) is unbeaten from three career starts and adds
blinkers for her first appearance outside of Woodbine. Trained by Dave Bell, the
dark bay reeled off an impressive 2 1/2-length score in the Carotene S. last out
and owns room for more improvement. She brings solid BRIS Speed and Pace ratings
into this event and figures to sit a good trip stalking the pace from her
innermost post.

WITH AFFECTION (Red Ransom) is an attractive play for the exotics. She steps
up off a nice listed win at Pimlico and has shown an affinity for the distance
(4-2-1-1) and any kind of footing on the turf. With Affection could come running
late for part. TOPANGO (Distant View) is 30-1 on the morning line but has the
opportunity to hit the board in this spot. The late runner owns impressive Late
Pace numbers and may continue to show more for trainer John Locke after
finishing a solid fourth in her graded bow last out. Topango has been extremely
honest on the grass (9-5-1-1) and can be used in the gimmicks.

SISTER SWANK (Skip Away) merits consideration for the top three. Pat Day
guided the chestnut to a victory in the Valley View last time and Sister Swank
owns a 2-0-1 from three turf starts, including both wins coming at this
distance. She will have to overcome a bad post (10) and will probably come out
running in order to save ground into the first turn. Sister Swank may outperform
our expectations, but we’re worried that she’ll get caught prompting the pace.

JINNY’S GOLD (Gold Fever) will lead the way and just missed last time when
second in the Valley View at Keeneland. An allowance winner at Churchill, the
bay miss finished a fine third in the Regret S. (G3) here and has never been off
the board in six grass starts. The Jamie Fox trainee could hold for a share once
again, but Jinny’s Gold will likely face more pressure this time and we’re
willing to play against.

FAMILY BUSINESS (Saint Ballado) is bred for the grass but be will trying the
lawn for the first time. She moves way up if the race is switched to the main
track, but we’ll give her a turf start from post 11 here. SAHMKINDAWONDERFUL (Sahm)
captured the Double Delta S. two back at Arlington but didn’t fire over a soft
turf last time at Keeneland. She won’t get firm footing on Saturday and we’ll
look for more down the road from the lightly-raced miss. CAPE TOWN LASS (Horse
Chestnut [SAf]) drew an outside post for her stakes debut. We’ll just watch for
now. CASA NEKIA (Conquistador Cielo) ships in from Suffolk and is winless from
five turf attempts. She would be a huge surprise.
