TRACK BANDIT PREVIEWS

CLASSIC ENDEAVOR (Silver Buck) looks like the controlling speed from the rail
in Saturday’s $100,000 Stuyvesant H. (G3) and has the potential to lead the 1
1/8-mile event wire to wire. The Richard Dutrow-trained six-year-old likes wet
tracks, recording four wins and three seconds, and should relish the expected
sloppy conditions at Aqueduct.

Claimed for $35,000 four starts back, Classic Endeavor was claimed for
$50,000 by his current connections two starts ago and brings a three-race
winning skein into this event. He defeated high-priced optional
claiming/allowance rivals last out at Belmont, earning a 104 BRIS Speed rating.
We’ll look for him to lead all the way under Edgar Prado.

COLITA (Grindstone) has recorded century-topping Speed figures in three of
his last four starts and is three-for-six over wet tracks. He’s a top threat
here at short odds under Rafael Bejarano, but the four-year-old is unplaced from
two previous attempts over the main track at the Big A.

TRAPPED AGAIN (Deputy Commander) brings increasing Speed figures into this
event and should enjoy a good trip with his tactical speed. The four-year-old is
unproven on off tracks, with only one previous start on a track with less than
perfect conditions, and against stakes rivals, but his promising current form
can’t be overlooked. The improving Michael Gorham trainee could offer a
challenge for it all.

POWERFUL TOUCH (Touch Gold) didn’t fire when finishing last in the Hawthorne
Gold Cup (G2) last out, but he is two-for-two over the track for trainer Bobby
Frankel and earned strong Speed ratings while reeling off three straight wins
prior to his last. If Powerful Touch bounces back off his last effort, he could
offer a serious challenge.

KISSIN SAINT (Kissin Kris) exits a nice score over the track and is a
contender for a top three placing in this spot. He owns a commendable 4-3-0-1
mark over the main track and finished a good third here in a muddy Wood Memorial
(G1) last year. The four-year-old is a confirmed late runner, however, and there
may not be enough pace for him to be effective. EVERYDAYISSATURDAY (Storm Cat)
faces open company and owns no wet track experience. We’ll just watch to see how
he fares.

SNAKE MOUNTAIN (A.P. Indy) owns some back class, but his present form isn’t
encouraging. COUNTRY BE GOLD (Summer Squall) comes off a disappointing
performance at Delaware Park and probably won’t get much pace from which to
close from here.
